Yes. Typically, you should have a broker in place before you join the Community. However, don’t panic if you’re unsure where to start. How to pick a broker is actually part of our course content!  

It’s also helpful if you have a trading research tool, like the stox.io scanner. It’s affordable, easy to use, and accurate. Check out the selection of tools we recommend here.  

Do you need all these tools? No! But the more resources you have at your disposal, the easier it is to reach your trading potential. After all, knowledge is power!  

Not sure how to use any of the tools we recommend? Reach out to us and we’ll do what we can to help. That’s a perk of being a Humbled Trader. We’re always here to help each other.

The Academy is broken down into step-by-step units and organized in chronological order.  

On average, it has taken students 4-6 weeks to complete this course. You can complete the program at your own pace.  

All students will have access to Humbled Trader Academy for the entire course of their annual membership. 

As a Humbled Trader Community member, you will have access to not just Shay, but also the entire Humbled Trader Team of professional trading coaches. All communication takes place in the Trading Chatroom.

Of course! This is a key feature of the Trading Chatroom. Our team of coaches trades live with the Community every day that the markets are open. 

No, here at Humbled Trader we are absolutely against copy trading and alert signals. If you are looking for alerts or copy trading, Humbled Trader Community is NOT the place for you.

Good question! The US Pattern Day Trader (PDT) rule is, essentially, a protective tool.  

The goal is to prevent day traders from going overboard and executing multiple trades they (perhaps) can’t afford. It works by limiting the number of day trades you can make unless you have a certain account balance (usually $25,000).  

The PDT rule is a little controversial. Some day traders agree with it, others think it’s too limiting. And other traders are just confused as to whether the rule applies to them! 

Here’s the lowdown. If you’re in Canada, the PDT rule does not apply unless you use a US-based broker.

Canada has its own risk-managing rules for responsible trading, though. But don’t worry. We’ll cover more pattern day trading FAQs in the Community. After all, we make it our mission to cover everything to know about trading!

The rules are similar to how the rule affects Canadians. It won’t impact you unless you use US-based brokers or platforms. Again, we’ll cover day trading facts, laws, and FAQs in the Community.  

Yes! If you’re trading US stocks, then the Community lessons are invaluable. Full disclosure, though – they don’t apply to foreign stocks. So, if you’re trading in other markets, you will need to supplement your learning. 

We offer closed captioning for Humbled Trader Academy. The Video Library does not include closed captioning at this time. 

There’s no hard and fast rule here. But you don’t need a lot of money to start trading. Think about having, say, $4,000+ on hand to trade with.  

And remember, it must be money you can afford to lose. There are no guarantees with trading!  

Should you start with real funds? Well, you can, but we’d advise against it. Start with simulated funding from a demo account, first.  

Get a feel for what it’s like to day trade and move capital. Test the waters, so to speak, without risking your own money first!  

Day trading is not a get-rich-quick scheme. If you are looking to make millions tomorrow, Humbled Trader Community is definitely NOT the place for you. 

If you are struggling financially, we cannot in good conscience encourage beginners to day trade. We highly recommend you save up and make sure you are stable financially before you learn to day trade. This will help relieve any added financial stress when day trading. 

Full disclosure – we’re not financial advisors or tax experts. We can’t give tax advice here!  

But proceed on the basis that day trading profits can be taxed according to your country’s rules. Day trading profits should be disclosed. Don’t attempt to hide or conceal profits – that’s a one-way road to bad news!

This is one of these questions we can’t definitively answer. The only way to know if day trading – or the Community – is for you, is to dive right in. But if you’re a little wary about committing, here’s some food for thought.  

• Try a simulated demo account first to see if the day trading “life” works for you.  

• Check out our range of free lessons. Does the content resonate with you? If so, then day trading could be a good move.  

• Day trading is exhilarating. It’s thrilling. But it can have its ups and downs. Be prepared for no two days to ever look the same. And never stop learning.

It can be! But as with any type of trading, it does involve risk. You could always lose money, especially if you let emotions rule the day or if you don’t stick to your strategy.
