Jose’s Story

Jose joined the Humbled Trader community after extensively researching the other day trading platforms out there. He wanted to learn to trade; not be told what and when to trade a ticker. After several months of watching Shay’s videos, he was convinced this community was the place for him. Jose hit his biggest trading month in October 2020.

I inquired with numerous trading platform in my journey to day trading. I learned a little about the overall concept of day trading with random Youtube channels that I discovered in my search. At one point I interviewed for a program that would supposedly provide an in depth training for someone interested in becoming a professional or full-time day trader. Something did not convince me about it. I guess it was the Lambos. I never believed in the easy way out. The idea of becoming a “lambo-nnaire”, trading from my pool in the Maldives didn't appeal to me. I was born at night but not last night. 

I kept searching, several months into my search I encountered a video on Youtube from HT. No Lambos and just bad jokes! I watched multiple of her videos within the first few days thereafter. At the time HT did not have a chatroom and I was working full time and trading part time, so I was happy with the weekly recap. I eventually upgraded to the daily watch list and ultimately joined the chatroom a few months after HT opened it. 

The one deciding factor for why I chose HT over other platforms was that I felt she was always honest. She really appeared to want to teach, not just provide alerts. I wanted to learn to trade, not be told what and when to trade a ticker. After several months of observing HT I became convinced she was the one. 

The coaches in the HT chat are all very helpful. If you want to learn you will learn a lot from the way they trade and also from asking questions directly to them. I have interacted with all of the coaches at one point or another and it's always a good learning experience. I must specifically thank Vince. He has gone out of his way on several occasions to assist me in learning and to make trading decisions in trading. These coaches are amazing and inspirational. I really look forward to one day being as good of a trader as they are.

The members of the chat are all very respectful. Although some members have a lot more experience than others, we are all trying to learn and help each other. We are all a big happy family. 

I learned to trade specific setups. I prefer to short sell small caps on parabolic moves. I learned to identify other setups such as ABCD and VWAP reclaim longs. Understanding how to identify long setups is helpful also when shorting as it provides a clearer picture of when a trade may move against me because it maybe a long instead of a short setup or vice versa. I have improved a lot at reading price action. I still have a lot to learn but I believe HT and the HT family of coaches and members is certainly the best place to learn. I am thankful for having found this wonderful group of traders.
